The fountain is situated in an 11-acre lake and jets water higher than the nearby 120-storey Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It is built to be able to shoot 22,000 gallons of water more than 500 feet in the air and is illuminated by application of 6,600 lights and 25 colour projectors.

The fountain is free to view so if you don’t have time to enjoy the actual show, you can still marvel at its impressive architecture and stunning visual effect. Recently, the Dubai Fountain has had a makeover and has replaced traditional performances with virtual performances; this means that all audio recordings are new and technically enhanced.
